At the moment we are recruiting a new apprentice to join the salon team. This is a fantastic opportunity if you want to pursue a career as a Qualified Hairdresser. we will provide you with a workplace in which you will progress mainly through practical experience, backed up with time in the Shetland College to gain your accessments towards completion of your Modern Apprenticeship. On completiong of your training we hope that you will continue working for Sharp Image.

A Brief Job Description

Assisting in the smooth running of the salon by helping the stylists, shampooing, reception duties, stocktaking, making coffe and tea for clients, your roll is vital to a happy salon team and clients.

A keen interest in hairdressing, current fashion trends, have an artistic flair, enjoy working with people as part of a team then this job could be for you.

Client Cancellation Policy

Our cancellation policy has been updated to ensure we can continue offering high-quality service while protecting our team’s time and the sustainability of the salon.

Why This Change Is Needed Last-minute cancellations and no-shows create gaps that cannot be filled, resulting in a direct loss to the business. With rising running costs, we can no longer absorb these losses. This update allows us to maintain the level of service our clients expect. Updated Cancellation Policy Effective from 18/05/2026.

*Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a 50% charge of the appointment cost.

*No-show appointments will be charged at 100% of the appointment cost.

These charges help protect our team’s time and ensure fairness for all clients.
